Hazel Pigrum is a Naarm/Melbourne-based performer, actor and producer, working on unceded Wurundjeri land. Her practice spans text-based and devised theatre, movement improvisation and dance.
Hazel is the Associate Producer, Performance at RISING 2026. She has worked on major touring musicals, tiny-budget indie theatre shows, and large-scale festival works.
Collaborating with artists and creatives from around Australia, Hazel has previously worked with Marriner Group, Trafalgar Entertainment, Millmaine Entertainment Marketing, Good Humans PR, ShowGroup Travel, TAG, and Live Performance Australia.
Hazel has presented work at Melbourne Fringe Festival (2024), The University of Melbourne (2023 - 2024), Arts Centre Melbourne (2021), and The National Theatre (2019). She was previously a member of The University of Melbourne’s Theatre Board (2023) and a Melbourne Theatre Company Youth Ambassador (2020).
Hazel has undertaken residencies with La Mama Theatre (2025) and Union House Theatre (2025). She was the recipient of the Louise Homphrey Prize for Excellence in Performance (Union House Theatre) in 2023 and the Long Tan Youth Leadership Award (ADF and the Australian Government) in 2019.
