The air smells like rain and youāve started to forget about me.
On an infinite grid of squares lives Langtonās ant, an artificial cell. A two-dimensional unrelenting force of nature; a veteran of the digital world. Heās got to cross the highway before the rain begins.
In INTERNET OF THINGS, performers initiate an infinite march towards human / tech symbiosis. This new dance-theatre work questions the sustainable integration of artificial intelligence in a rapidly deteriorating world.
With code and visual design by Seamus Graham, performers Hazel Pigrum and Amelia Milly Watson invoke organic connection and embodied protest through visceral movement and speech.

But perhaps the enthusiastic sensibility of young women of her age played a role. This feeling sought release at every opportunity.
Inspired by Franz Kafkaās seminal novella, Short Straw Theatre is developing a new interdisciplinary work surveying gender and exploitation.
A first-stage creative development explored shadow work, projection, text and movement improvisation. Further developments seek to combine these physical theatre elements with orchestral composition.
